View and join Frappr Water War Enthusiasts, created by Duxburian to see if there are any other water warriors living near you! It uses Google Maps and you can put a marker to show where you are. It will require registration, but it's only a username and password--no private information whatsoever.

Unfortunately, the focus is most definitely North America, mainly the northeastern United States. Perhaps waterwarenthusiasts2 should be created specifically for Europe, primarily England? Soakerdom also has members in other places, such as Australia. However, this thread or similar ones are in all the major forums in Soakerdom, so expect to see members of the other forums here too!

Hmm...it appears as if the Frappr site has changed, and it seems to take a while to render. Perhaps it now uses Google Maps or something--the engine allows you to drag the window without having to reload, and everything feels different.

Also, I didn't know there was a message-type thing for us to use.

I don't like the change. They now use Yahoo Maps instead of Google Maps, which makes a big difference [Yahoo Maps = greatly inferior quality]. Yahoo actually has to load when you move, and it's slow as hell.

Oh, I guess I was wrong. I agree, though...both Yahoo! and MapQuest have to load even if you drag the viewing frame a tiny bit to one side, and then it takes a long time to bring up a greatly pixelated, outdated, and poor-quality map to your screen. In contrast, Google can just glide through a nice map as it does in Keyhole/Google Earth...

Well, they tried to make it look like this map could scroll...and I fell for it. But the difference certainly is noticeable.
