Okay, so you've just realized your soaker broke. You're in a rush, perhaps because it's a CPS soaker and because you don't want it to suffer from bladder damage. However, you will actually save time by reading through this--the tips here can easily make your chance of getting the repair done well much better. So let's get started.
Make sure you follow the forum guidelines when you post questions about the repair process. There's nothing like being able to understand what you're saying being able to easily read through your post due to superb spelling and grammar. Also, be as specific as possible throughout--don't be vague, for example in the title, don't say "HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!dumbgun bROKE!" Instead, say "Leaking from nozzle of CPS 1700."
If possible, just about the best thing you can do to get helpful repair advice is to take a picture or two. There's only a marginal chance that one of the active members here has encountered the same problem you have and on the same soaker--except perhaps for the broken CPS 4100 trigger on Mark 2 models. However, with a picture to work with, we can more easily analyze the failure and see what went wrong; and in addition, if we don't actually have that soaker and are not familiar with the internals (and definitely not with the point of leakage), then it will be hard to see what the problem is.
As I said above, accompany the picture with a detailed analysis of your own; and nearly all serious repairs will require opening of the soaker, both for pictures and for your analysis. There's already tons of documentation at many sites throughout Soakerdom, and we can provide you with links (but if you know where, then going there itself is faster; SSC is excellent for repairs); and you should also search the forums here to see if this has happened and been solved before. That will save all of us time and effort if it's been done.
Here's a list of what you should try provide in a repairs thread (inspired by the Repairs Template at the SSC Forums): --Use a descriptive name. This makes things more organized and we'll be better prepared and more willing (from a psychological perspective) to help. --Try to post a picture or more than one picture, for the reasons above. If you don't know how to upload and show us your picture(s), then read the thread "<a href="http://waterwarfare.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9" target="_blank">Uploading Images</a>." It's pretty much a walkthrough, and you might use that process throughout your stay here at Water Warfare. --Give us a good bit of information about your soaker model: The model, the year/Mark if applicable and known, and pretty much any other information about the soaker that might help; check the reviews at iSoaker.com for more information about it. --Provide as much [sometimes seemingly random] information about your individual gun as possible, especially concerning what the problem seems to be: How much it has been used, whether it's been dropped or anything of the sort, whether it has had any previous problems or modifications, whether it was bought new or used, and things like that. --Tell us what the problem is. What are the "symptoms"? Exactly what goes wrong? When does it go wrong (while filling, while pumping, while shooting, etc.)? You get the idea. --What have you found from older threads here at the Forums or from other sites? What search terms did you use, and did they turn up anything? Please provide links, as since we deal with many repairs, we don't want to have to hunt down information for many different repairs. --What is your analysis? Based on what you can see, hear, and feel (and hopefully not taste or smell), what do you think went wrong? This analysis should be based on as much evidence as possible, but even a vague and relatively uneducated guess is acceptable and helpful.
