When did you join Soakerdom? I'm not referring to just joining this particular set of forums. I'm asking when you joined any of the existing or formerly existing water warfare sites. Month and year preferred, though estimates are welcome if you cannot actually recall the month (or even the year) you started interacting with other Soakerdom members online. If I recall correctly, I found MiB Alliance at the end of 1998/early 1999. I was definitely posting there in 1999, but not sure whether I had joined while it was still 1998. This thread can help identify what 'generation' of Soakerdom membership you belong to (though the generation dates could use a little better defining, too). I still wonder whether to consider myself first or second generation as I joined an already active community as opposed to being one of the first members there. B)

As I've said at SSC, I joined there in early April of 2006 (but with the alias of SilentGuy). Soon afterward, I joined Soaker Media and then the iSoaker.com Forums, but I never really posted there much except for a short while. Recently I've been joining every new forum, and I'm active basically everywhere. I still consider myself primarily at SSC, although the face of Soakerdom is changing.
Perhaps we need completely new definitions of "generations?"

I really got into the internet soaker community in Early Feb 2006. I joined iScF first, but moved over to SSC a couple of days later, being mostly a tech person.
I had done a few modifications before then, so they weren't based on any other mods. I have to say it was a far cry from where I am today, but I enjoyed every moment of it

I joined the summer or fall before EES came out. I think I've got that pinned down as 4.5 years ago, if my calculations aren't off. Feels like a lot longer though.

Ben and I got our first water guns some time in the mid 1990s. I originally joined the Aquatica ezBoard under the name "Rambo005" in late June 2002 after Ben joined. After a quick search of some old emails, I also found out that I joined the Aquatica Ikonboard (also as "Rambo005") in early September 2002. I am incredibly sure that I never posted at either. I lost interest in the online soaker community by 2003.
I reemerged with minor interest in mid 2004. I joined Super Soaker Central in June 2004 under the name Lt. Col. Drench, and joined iSoaker a month later. Very late in 2004 (a few days before the new year), I created a new account called Drenchenator. Later Ben consolidated all of my posts at Super Soaker Central into Drenchenator.

I joined iSoaker about 2 months ago and SSC about a month ago, as well as SM probably 3 weeks ago, I'm not sure.
I got my first gun long ago, the SC400. I didn't really care for soaking too much and didn't even know it's name since the label eventually peeled off anyway from screwing it on and off. (I simply called it my super soaker) During the start of the summer I went somewhere where one day they had a water balloon fight. I only brought my squirt gun, while they already had them and enough for people to dual wield. As you could imagine, I regretted not bringing my 400 as it would've helped quite a bit. I actually didn't get too wet, except for a balloon that struck my right foot, it kind of soaked my sock. I did use water bottles which had people wondering how I didn't run out of water.

I first started getting interested in Super Soakers Fall/Winter 2002, and first posted at the Aqua Nexus Bravenet message boards sometime in November or December. I joined WWN sometime in either February/March/April '03, and then SSC in May of 03. ISS lists my WWN member number as 21, although I'm not sure how Spinner knew. I know there are some archives floating around out there.
I joined iScF when it first opened, and SM in the fall.

I joined the SSCentral forums in early 2004, but I was reading online water warfare resources by mid-2003. wetmonkey442 wrote: ISS lists my WWN member number as 21, although I'm not sure how Spinner knew. I know there are some archives floating around out there.
WWN was still active then; your number would have been in your profile. B)

WOW BLACK SIX! Long time no see!
I guess I would consider myself second generation. I joined the Aquatica Yahoo Club in July of 2000, just when Aquatica closed the MiB Forums. I was very active 2000-2003 and I have declined since then. Hopefully I will be around to stay this time. These forums are very nice. B)
I would define the generations as...
1st Generation: MiB 2nd Generation: Aquatica Yahoo! Club 3rd Generation: EZ Board/Ikon Board (Aquatica) 4th Generation: WaterWar.net 5th Generation: SSC/iSoaker Forums 6th Generation: The Present???

SSC existed prior to the creation of WaterWar.net, thus I'd swap SSC with WaterWar.net's position or at the very least put them side-by-side.

I think, as someone mentioned, that there's a lot of dead spots where many members have been lost over the years. Makes it all the more difficult to make differentiations.

If generations are simply denoted by 'season', MiB's launch back in 1998 would be marked as the 1st Generation thus making the 2006 current active group as the 8th Generation in Soakerdom. 8 years of water warfare online... scary... B)
