Due to a recent request, this topic has been made based on an earlier one on iSoaker. (Geez, I hope this is in the right forum. Again. )
Well, I was sitting in Chem class one day, and my teacher happens to mention Argon. Of course, I think purple water gun. The speed at which that conclusion came to me sort of freaked me out, it was just too natural. Sadly, this is the only good example I have.
So, who else has experienced things like this?

It sort of happens to me with certain numbers (such as 2500) but not that quickly.

Thanks! I could have done it myself, but then I'd be copying your iSoaker.com thread (hyperlink provided in case people want to view it). Here are some highlights from that discussion: abbreviations--PC, CPS, XP, SM, etc. Flash Flood warnings/Downpour Blazer jackets iSc (an abbreviation/logo for something like Intrastate Service Company/Corps, I think)--I swear the truck's logo even had that combination of uppercase/lowercase!
There used to be a forum here for links to threads at other Soakerdom forums, but we ruled that out a month or two ago. I don't think this is the appropriate forum, but I'll admit none of them are that great choices--perhaps Soaking would be good. I would also like to see this stickied, wherever it is, but it really isn't my call.
EDIT: Oh, now I see that your question about the location of the thread was actually a direct C/P from iSc (the site, not Intrastate Service Company)--but my comments still stand, IMO.
EDIT again: A quick search confirmed that it's Intrastate Service Company, not Corps. And it's local, based right here in Charlottesville, not in multiple states as its name might suggest at first glance. Oh well.

Actually, no. The posts are different. Same stuff, just rewritten. But it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who found it hard to tell where it should go.

My number one thing is SSP.
ShadowStrikePrime was a member of Aquatica active 2001-2004ish
There is a parkway on Long Island called the Southern State Parkway. Whenever SSP comes up I always instinctively think about ShadowStrikePrime.

I get that all the time. If I see some series of letters, my mind automatically reads it as a soaking or spudding acronym.
Which can completely throw the meaning of the sentence.
