Why not? Like past RPs, this one will be open to anyone at any time. Just post a user profile and jump right in! As for the map, I was thinking about using the real United States, but if you would rather have a fictional place, we could use that instead.

Revisions/Updates to my profile:
Name: Lewis [really my middle name, but I give it as a fake first to people I don't know and/or don't trust]
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Height: ~5' 9"
Weight: ~110-125 [my weight fluctuates wildly, massive dinners + massive metabolism = unpredictable weight]
Appearance/Clothing: Ridgewood Track shirt, athletic shorts, running sneakers.
Physical characteristics: Perfectly built for a distance runner, yet excels at very short distance sprinting. Between medium and tall, black hair, thin.
Personality/mental characteristics: Quiet, moral/ethical, idealistic, intellectual, progressive.
Skills/Strengths: sprinting, agility/crazy reflexes, 10th year veteran fighter, can do basically whatever position or whatever objective you want, bearer of parts of Tactical Theory not available publically yet.
Weaknesses: Long distance [3K+] running, patience, dealing with n00bs, taking flawed orders, quiet personality, is not a natural leader.
Main weapons: 11K, Silver Bullet Homemade [don't have one in real life yet, still working on that]
Backup weapon: None
Sidearm: 3rd Generation Douchenator Water Cannon [Hybrid WBL/WC functionality]
Last resort weapon: None
Other gear: backpack, $950 cash, pocketknife, radio, floodlight, bike pump, iPod, laptop
Has access to: various vehicles, however, prefers to travel on foot
History/Alliances: Co-Commander of the Militia, fighter in the original Tempest forces of the iSCF RP, has fought in 7 RPs.
General Information: hates arrogance

I might actually continue to contribute if this doesn't get too fantastical. These stats are more realistic than the ones at SSC's RP III.

<strike>Name: Silence
Gender: male
Age: 15 (in a month)
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 100 pounds
Appearance: dark clothing and running shoes
Physical characteristics: fairly short but could grow 1-2 inches by the end of the RP, medium build, dark skin
Mental characteristics: liberal, , idealistic/moralistic, perfectionist, technical/analytical
Strengths: fairly stealthy, decent sprint/very good endurance, tactician/theory/fundamentals, leader
Weaknesses: lack of experience, short, can be outsprinted, can be stubborn, can be obsessive with minor details
Primary weapon: CPH
Alternate weapons: pneumatic weapons (WBL, repeating mini WBL for long distance, water cannon)
Secondary weapon: melee
Other gear: Treo 700w with EVDO [I wish!], mini Maglite, pocketknife, backpack (not a frame one)
General info: "intolerant of (blind) stupidity" [as one of my friends calls me], upright, liberal</strike>

This all sounds good. RP 3 seems to have been neglected at SSC, so perhaps the higher active membership of WWc might keep things going.

How are we going to set the realism level? Like RP 3 was supposed to be (but sort of got lost along the way)? I personally want some impact damage, decent elimination and vehicles (but sensible ones).

Having a fight across most of a continent is pushing it on size terms a little, I think. There are an assortment of small islands a few miles long around the UK that the map could be based on without too much trouble (like the Isle of Wight [pronounced "White"] or the Isle of Man). However, you're welcome to base it whereever you want.

I'll happily chip in whatever.

I'll copy my profile from SSC with a few updates - it was fairly accurate anyway. I'm being a bit loose on the weapons front though, allowing things I have yet to construct:

Name: Joanna or Jo, sometimes "El Diablo"
Gender: Female
Age: 17 (18 in the not too distant future)
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 140 lbs/ 10 st / 65 kg
Appearance/Clothing: Fairly long blonde hair. T-shirt, jeans and steel-toe capped boots. May wear body armour and a face shield in combat.
Physical characteristics: Tall, but thin. Has high levels of strength, but not very fast. High levels of pain tolerance. Stamina good when using strength, but poor on speed.
Personality/mental characteristics: Persistent - not a good leader, but a good troop (takes orders well, but not very good at giving them) - intelligent, and very knowledgeable in some areas. Inventive, but better at assessing the ideas of others. Likes rock/metal music. Strong link to brother. Can be silent for hours, but often talks too much/loud.
Skills/Strengths: Highly accurate with most weapons. A good team player. Fast on a mountain bike. Good expertise in Physics and Chemistry - good at maths related to these. Reasonable mental mathematician. Good at Martial arts.
Weaknesses: Time-keeping quite poor.
Main weapon: PCgH with 3L PC, back pack, multi bore pump, riot blast and trigger (linked to ball valve). Compact for its capacity and power. Sometimes called Terminator (To be built in near future)
Backup weapon: CPS 27K with so many mods I can't remember all of them (bull-pup and laminator probably the most important.) Sometimes called Exorcist.
Last resort weapon: (1L home-made - can be recharged from almost all taps)
Other Gear: Multi-tool, general food, string, a lighter and a small pair of binoculars, radio, cell phone, and enough cash to get by.
Has access to: Cerberus - an automatic sniping water balloon launcher with multi shot capacity (I will get it built soon), a Douchenator clone, Pegasus - a powerful piston valved wbl.
History/Alliances: Friendly to militia forces from the Tempest wars.
General Information: English. Speaks in a southern middle class accent.

Team (1 member):
Name:
David, or sometimes "Ragnarok"
Gender: Male
Age: 17 (18 in the not too distant future)
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 176 lbs/ 12.5 stone/ 80 kg.
Appearance/Clothing: Short gold hair. Long sleeved shirt, fleece, jeans and trainers. Quite attractive. Sometimes appears younger than he is. May wear body armour and goggles in combat. Many (mostly unseen) scars.
Physical characteristics: Very strong. Not fast, but barely slowed by weight. Massive pain tolerance. Twin Brother to Jo.
Personality/mental characteristics: Makes bad jokes. Strong link to sister. Strong willed and bright. Deep thinker - can sit thinking for hours.
Skills/Strengths: Good at receiving and making orders, but clearly on level pegging with Jo in the team. Also accurate but not to the same extent Jo is. Good high speed driver.
Weaknesses: Obsessive - can get stuck in one task.
Main weapon: S16 with WB 203 launcher (I felt like getting it in somewhere.)
Backup weapon: MAX-D 110 (Threshold)
Last resort weapon: SS 30 (Challenger)
Other gear: Sharp penknife, general food, assorted tools, radio, cell phone, General money, a Laptop with remote internet access, mp3 player.
Has access to: Anything on the list for Jo.
History/Alliances: Few links, but supports anyone Jo does.
General Information: English. Speaks in a southern middle class accent. Deep Voice.

Team Vehicles: Dark Green Land Rover Defender with Sat Nav, Pair of front suspension mountain bikes, stored on the roof of the Land Rover.

EDIT: And why do I weigh so much more than everyone else? I know I'm tall, but I'm also slim...

Well, for starters, you're nearly a foot taller than I am...and I'm relatively light-weight, as I believe Duxburian is.

Actually, I just wanted to point out that I stole your idea for an "obsessive" weakness. I can't believe I forgot that for my own profile...

I would really rather prefer it if this stayed at least somewhat believable. Either that, or I pull out a 1000 fps airsoft gun (people have come close while barely trying)...

EDIT: I'd like to see some of the primarily iScF members join in on this. If you're unsure of how it goes, check the RPs over at SSC. For example, remember to use bold tags for the story.

Silence has it right, I'm willing to bet I'm the most thin here. My reflexes, reaction time, agility, and speed come at the cost of burning everything I eat, no matter what it is that I eat. It really sucks when you can have 4 plates of pasta in one sitting and still can't nudge your weight. I'd have to eat 24/7 in order to get to a normal weight for my age/height.

I'd also like to keep things more realistic, like no aircraft. Vehicles should be limited to what you could actually afford in real life, same for boats. I guess we can have a fictional map, in fact, we could use the one I've been working on for the post-Tempest wars. Which brings up another thing: new enemy! A smarter, more tactical enemy which fights you in person without overwhelming numbers like in past RPs. As for the enemy's name, I don't care, someone should make it up during the course of the action.

Such as...each other! No, seriously, wasn't this initially supposed to be with us fighting against each other instead of as a team? No matter, though, since that would lead to some "you SOOOO couldn't rock me!" disputes. Also, this seems like a much more friendly atmosphere...

What if the battlefield were actually just some huge park--say, New York City's Central Park :D. That way, vehicles wouldn't be needed, there would be the appropriate atmosphere, and tons of space. Either that, or more of a wild and foresty park.

The original iScF RP used an abandoned school with surrounding woods/fields. Something somewhat similar to that would be cool, IMO. In that RP we did indeed fight each other. However, it fell apart when everyone was winning and losing at the same time. Perhaps our enemy should be a rival team or something.

@ Silence: I've sent BB pellets past the sound barrier in my back garden, at about 1200 fps, without anything too crazy - so what you put was totally belivable.

@DX: If you want to keep the vehicles realistic, that's fine. I haven't actually got a Land Rover Defender, but it's possible that I could have one. I do have the mountain bikes in question.

I presume the narrative has some continuation from the previous RPs at SSC. A new enemy sounds nice - allowing some freedom.

Versus each other doesn't work for me. Perhaps we might get a few minor confrontations and stand-offs in this one, but a full-on versus would force people to get eliminated and be "out" of the RP.

Off topic bit:

I eat huge amounts, because my metabolism is set at "riduculously high". And I'm actually possibly slightly underweight for being 6' 1". You should see what David eats though.

A little internet research tells me that - naturally, females have higher body fat for two reasons - Pregnancy requires reserves of fat, which need to be in place "just in case", and you can guess the second one.

Any vehicle you could reasonably build, modify, or buy is fine. This can have references to past RPs, although it will be odd to refer to something that happened in RP III, since that one's not finished yet.

If someone wants to make the map, they can. I think we want to go smaller this time [like within a single town].

For a map, I would definitely suggest something smaller like a school or a park--perhaps vehicles can be allowed, but you can't damage them (with water), and you should be able to traverse the entire map on foot.

If possible, it should be a battlefield where it's either designed for a water war or completely immersed in part of a city with actual civilians--as in a mall or something.

I like the idea of a single town or small city, but we will need some area to fight over, otherwise we'll get from A to B in about 3 minutes. Parks and surrounding woodland would be good, because just town based stuff would grate after a while.

Perhaps a map with a few towns, but far more detail to the towns than before?

Part of the point (to me) of an RP is that it's more epic than a normal water war, so we need some sense of scale - but not too large.

Personally I think us 'fighting' each other would be more fun LOL - I'm up for it... I also think that a place like central park would probably be the best place for a water war. I also think vehicles are probably a little much.

If we decide to 'fight' one another maybe we could go with it begin 'soakertag' and have some sort of hit points or something - just a thought:)

Yes, but that would result in elimination... And would need some defined form of it.

Being eliminated would be no fun - you would be "out". It's not fair to allow anyone to eliminate anyone else, and no-one would eliminate themselves.

It can't work.

Why Central Park?

Assume perhaps that some of us have no idea what CP is like - having never having been within a few thousand miles of it...

Well not necessarily central park just something similar... A large open area that's kind of a cross between an urban space and a wooded space.

If people don't get 'out' how does the RP end?

With either the rout of our forces (unlikely) or the defeat of the fictional enemy - presumably.

That's the way it's gone so far at SSC.
